say no to tolls
What YOU are saying about the A22 tolls – 7
Updated: 15-Nov-2010

UPDATED NOVEMBER 15

Here is a selection of what YOU are saying about the introduction of tolls on the A22. Email us at saynototolls@theresidentgroup.com.

GREAT TIMING: What great timing....a new shopping centre to be opened near Portimao by Easter 2011, coinciding with the introduction of toll fees on the  A22. A great incentive to have a day out - I think not! J. CARROLL

NO WAY! As long as the N125 has not been updated. Also, the revenue will be less than the expenses to run toll-booths, and more traffic will be re-directed to the already notorious N125, further increasing the death toll. MAX VAN PEER

NOT MUCH REVENUE: I do not support tolling the A22. There is very little alternative with the EN125 being notorious. Our family spends a total of six months a year in Lagos and we travel on A22 frequently. There are not many vehicles using the A22 between Faro and Lagos at the best of times (unlike English motorways) so tolls are not going to bring in very much revenue. Even less when people will travel on the EN125. SUE FIELD
