Owners Osvaldo and Peggy Salvador established Rafaiols in 1989 and made the decision in 2008 to change the original premises to a new building, designed by Osvaldo himself, to present a rustic, homely ambience to all customers.
At Rafaiols all produce served is fresh, and when available organic products such as broccoli, beans, courgettes and aubergine are used from the family’s garden.
Other items on the menu include grilled tiger prawns, skewered salmon and prawn, monkfish and prawn cataplana, rack of lamb, tender fillet steaks and much more. A children’s menu is also available.
For the remaining winter nights, diners at Rafaiols are kept warm and cosy by an open log fire.
Starting this spring, a new roast lamb lunch will be served for €17 per person, including a three-course meal, accompanied by a jug of wine, or beer.
The kitchen at the Rafaiols opens at 6.30pm and for Sunday lunch, 1pm.
Peggy Salvador said: “All are welcome at the restaurant. Our friendly staff are highly motivated and will make you feel right at home.”
