Quiz for the animals

The first Quiz for the Animals event of the year was held at Quinta das Oliveiras in Poço Barreto by the Cupid Group on February 4.

A total of €715 was raised at the quiz for the Donkey Sanctuary in Estombar and it is hoped that last year’s raised total of €6,600 will be beaten this year over nine quizzes.

Money raised will be used to meet the immediate needs of the centre, including the urgent requirement of a microchip implant scanner.

Remaining funds will be set aside for a neutering programme that was started last year at the sanctuary.

The next quiz is scheduled to take place on March 24.
