Re: Campaign to attract people to live in the Algarve

I’m an American citizen born in Portugal. I am retired and was considering moving to the Algarve.
I know that it is a beautiful place. But my main questions have to do with income taxation in Portugal and other economic issues. There are many wonderful places where I can choose to live but the decision for me will come down to economics and healthcare systems.
Your article last week said absolutely nothing on these subjects. At the moment, I can go to the Yucatan Penisula and the Bahamas, which offer very high quality, all-Inclusive vacation packages. There are many wonderful places in Central America and I am seriously considering those.
