Madeira SAD confirmed their dominance of women’s handball by beating their Lagos-based Gil Eanes rivals 28-23 in the sport’s Portuguese Cup final. The islanders, who also claimed the league championship, celebrated their 14th consecutive success in the knock-out competition.
