Carminho, Portugal’s new fado diva, will be presenting her latest album Alma during a special outdoor event, under the stars, in Vale do Lobo this month.
And the Algarve Resident has a pair of tickets on offer for its readers!
Carminho and her beautiful voice promise some unforgettable moments at this concert, one of the much anticipated of the year in Vale do Lobo with the sunset backdrop setting of the golf course.
Carminho has known fado from a very early age. Fado records were played as lullabies and she learned about fado at her parents’ soirées.
While she was still a teenager, she started singing in fado places in Lisbon. She shot to fame in 2009 when her debut album Fado wowed music critics and led to a legion of new fans.
The album fast became a platinum seller and opened the souls of not just fado lovers in Portugal, but in Europe, and Carminho’s stunningly melodic voice leaving its signature style on Portugal’s acclaimed music genre.
The concert, on July 22, will take place on the 18th hole of the Ocean Golf Course at Parque do Golfe, at 8.30pm. Tickets cost €22 and are available at the Vale do Lobo Resort Reception (call 289 353 322).
