Oyster festival

TAVIRA IS to host the county’s first oyster and seafood festival between July 25 and 27 at the Salinas car park near the Vila Galé hotel.

This festival, Aqui há Ostra, will be held inside a marquee and will include live musical entertainment by regional accordionists.

As well as fresh oysters, visitors will be able to sample other sea food dishes and visit an exhibition about oyster production in the Ria Formosa.

The festival will be open on July 25 between 9am and midnight and between 11am and midnight on the following days.
