Many Rotary dignitaries came to the ceremony, including the district governor Teresa Mayer and Rotary International world president Dong Kurn Lee, who signed the charter certificate to make the association official.
All the new members were presented with charter pins by Teresa Mayer in recognition of their founder status.
The Rotary Club of Estoi Palace International, the newest club in Portugal, will be holding regular weekly lunch meetings at the Estoi Palace when renovation works are completed in 2009, until then meetings are to be held at Arte Cultura Gastronomia restaurant in Estoi.
